Hop[e]
HighPixel Game Jam Winner! Hop[e] is a 2.5D platformer. Hop your way through the back yard of an autumn barn with friendly mobs along the way - until it hits night. Retreat back to the barn for saftey - traversing the previously peaceful path. Mobs are no longer friendly and obstancles now have to be approuched in a different way to make it back to safety. Hop[e] also offered time scores for speedrunners and fellow participants of the Jam to compete for high scores.
My primary role on the project was Producer. I set out sprint meetings every morning of the game jam to allign the international team being UK and USA - this introduced the need for diligent planning to avoid regressions in progress as the team worked different hours.
Along side this responsibility I was also the programmer on the project, this tied very closely to the role in production as I was collating everyones work and turning it into a fully function game loop we could enter into the Jam with. This allowed me to have full creative freedom on creating levels and tweaking mechanics to get a well rounded polished result.
